Hutcheson qui a introduit un sens interne appelé ≪moral sense≫, nouvelle sorte de perceptions morales, analogues aux sensations externes, mais différentes en ce qu’elles nous donnent des notions du bien et du mal sans aucune intervention du raisonnement. Le philosophe écossais a fondé la morale sur ces nouvelles perceptions sans cependant donner une explication claire. On ne pourrait pas percevoir des qualités morales non sensibles si ce n’était une certaine forme de réflexion. Aussi le ≪moral  sense≫ doit-il  mêler  deux  formes  d’immédiateté  et  de  réflexion.  Nous  tentons  de  résoudre cette aporie selon la méthode de la phénoménologie génétique husserlienne qui nous permet de découvrir ≪la synthèse passive≫ fonctionnant au niveau le plus profond de la conscience originaire ou plutôt du corps impersonnel où se fondraient les sensations et les sentiments non intentionnels.
