本研究では,いじめ場面における第三者的立場の子どもたち(傍観者)の支援行動(被害者への直接的な支援行動,加害者への仲裁行動,観衆への仲裁行動,教師への援助要請行動についての意欲と自信)を促進する環境要因(学級風土)を検討することを目的として小学生を対象に質問紙調査を行った。以下の3つの示唆が得られた。\n (1)学級風土が支援行動に及ぼす影響については,①被害者への直接的な支援行動では「学級活動への関与」が,②観衆への仲裁行動における他者協力では「規律正しさ」が,③教師への援助要請行動において他者と協力したうえでは「規律正しさ」が,単独では「学級活動への関与」と「学級への満足度」がそれぞれ行動に影響している。\n (2)学級風土が全体として良好なクラスに在籍する児童は,単独行動・他者協力の上での行動のどちらにおいても,被害者への直接的な支援行動,加害者への仲裁行動,教師への援助要請行動,そして観衆への他者協力を得たうえでの仲裁行動を行う意欲・自信がある。\n
