2003年10月現在, 全域にわたり合計166個体のサクラが植栽されていることが明らかになった。そのうち, 145個体30種類を同定することができたが, その主なものはサトザクラ類 (70個体, 全個体数に占める割合は42.2%), 野生型のヤマザクラ (32個体, 同19.3%), ソメイヨシノ (15個体, 同9.0%), 野生型のエドヒガン (8個体, 同4.8%) であった。最も一般的に植栽されるソメイヨシノの個体数が比較的少なく, 野生型のヤマザクラやエドヒガンが高頻度で見られるのは本調査地の特徴のひとつであると考えられる。サトザクラ類は計18品種を同定することができたが, このうち個体数が多かったものは 'イチョウ' (24個体) および 'カンザン' (17個体) の2品種のみであった。ヤマザクラやサトザクラの園芸品種中には 'コウダイジ' や 'ベニナンデン' といった栽培されることが稀なものが含まれていることも特徴的であった。なお, 今回同定できなかったものは21個体あったが, その内訳はサトザクラの一品種と思われるもの (2種類2個体) と品種名がない交雑品 (19個体)
