| 内容記述 | Wynkyn de Worde endeavers to ‘fi ll up’ the title-page. ‘To fi ll up page’ principle is not applied to only title-page, but all pages in quires of the book. If there is a blank page （or pages） at the head or the end of the book, he fi lls it up with woodcut, including printer’s mark. If there is a scrap of space on the last text page of the book, he fi lls it up with colophon （and printer’s mark）.\n‘To fi ll up page’ principle which he lays down enables us to explain why he used many kinds of woodcuts at the head or the end of the book. It is the same action as we now play on book-making. | |||||||
